Obituary of Milton L. Curran

Milton L. Curran a lifetime resident of Port Jervis died peacefully at home on April 5, 2024.  He was 91.

The son of the late William and Mildred Curran, he was born on May 5, 1932 in Port Jervis.

Milton served our country with the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.  Upon returning home he worked with a Track Gang on the Erie Railroad.  He would go on in life with a dedicated career at Gillinder Brothers, retiring as a Supervisor.  Milton’s life started with public service and continued in service as a Police Officer with the Port Jervis Police Department.

In addition to his parents Milton was predeceased in life by his wife Betty Ann Curran, brother William Curran Jr and sister Jane Kingston.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela Hamilton with her husband Paul of Port Jervis and his son John Curran with his wife Jeanette of Matamoras.  Chrished grandfather of Amy Hamilton, Melissa Hamilton, Kris Hamilton and Shaun Hamilton with his wife Erin.  Great grandfather of Garrett & Addyson Hamilton.

Reposing Wednesday 4/10 from 10:00AM to 12Noon at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis NY 12771.  A funeral service will commence at 12:00PM at the Funeral Home, the Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.  Interment to immediately follow in the family plot at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville.
