Charles F. Dunning Jr.  “Topper” a lifetime resident of the area died suddenly at home, on March 18, 2024.  He was 70. 

The son of the late Charles Sr. and Martha Dunning, he was born on January 23, 1954 in Port Jervis.

Topper worked for many years with Kolmar and Dick’s Concrete as a truck driver.  He was a simple guy who loved his pups and his family. 

In addition to his parents Topper was predeceased by his sister Linda Henderson. 

Beloved husband of Patricia Dunning at home.  Devoted father of Charles “Buck” Dunning III with his wife DeAnn of Port Jervis and Cheryl “Cherri” Herbert with her wife Anna of Palm Coast FL.  Dear grandfather of BreAnna, Kenna, Shelby, Chase, Zaylani and Zayvian.  Dear brother of William Dunning his wife Karen, Ed Dunning and Tracy Dunning with his wife Erin.  Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation Monday 3/25 from 10AM to 12:00PM at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis NY 12771.  Funeral Service 12noon at the Funeral Home, Pastor Amy Garrett officiating.  Following the service a private cremation will be held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark 202 US-209, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
