Obituary of Mary Charlene Willis

Mary Charlene Willis was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this physical world on March 18th, 2024 at age 62. Her love of life didn't end with her death.

She was born to Sharon Outwater on May 16th 1961. She overcame childhood adversity and shared many fond memories of her family including her Poppa, Nanna, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. (Who she considered close enough to be siblings.) She also had two sisters, Donna (Ruby Tuesday) and Tomi.

A devoted mother and mom to every child in the neighborhood, she left behind son Gerald (P.J.) Pulis and his wife Celeste, son Justin Pulis and wife Sally, daughter MackenZie, Their self Ari Bertolino and husband Clayton and her youngest son Darius Bertolino and wife Vita. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren ranging from age 18 to a few months. Leaving behind her “babies" was her hardest truth to deal with. Mother Mary was loved and will be missed by all.

Her love for her family was only equal to her love of animals and gardening. She helped countless strays (from dogs, cats and humans) over the years and built beautiful homes for all she welcomed into her home. From wearing traffic cones on her head to holding her children's hands to the end, she will be truly and utterly missed. Her energy will live on everywhere and she wants everyone to remember to smile, but most of all to be kind. Don't forget to have fun!

Mary's request was that all who come to see her off, come dressed in joyful colors, not black clothing.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY FUNERAL HOME, 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
